Dead Air Sandman - K Suppressor The Dead Air Sandman line of suppressors is one of the best in business. The "K" model is new to the line, and is a very compact, but highly robust suppressor. At only 5.4" and 12.8 oz, this suppressor is ideal for a short barreled rifle, duty or range truck gun. It is compact, takes abuse and very affordable. I have one on an MP5 and one on an MPX-K. You will read in a future article published at American Partisan on the suppressor buying experience for you readers who would like to go down that path; However, in the meantime, I would like to share with you my review on the suppressor I chose to buy.At first glance, the 5.4″ long and 1.5″ outer diameter can may seem like a status quo for the Dead Air team, however weighing only 12.8 ounces and adding only 2.9″ past the muzzle device is a big deal for a .300WM rated silencer. The 5.56mm decibel ratings are 149 at the muzzle and 140 at the ear respectively.

Anyone have experience with these? Obviously AAC will save me some money but Dead Air's locking system appears to be superior, especially if you plan to slide it under a rail.
